Tuesday Motivation

My motivational posts are normally inspired by a quote or a graphic or both.. yesterday, I stumbled upon this in my phone. I have posted it on Instagram and I decided to revisit it.

Today I was thinking about a weight loss motivation post but as I read this quote it can apply to life in general as well. It is important to make changes in behavior if you expect to have changes showing in end results. You can not keep repeating the same bad habits and expect things to change. You do have to put your mind to a change but you may also apply physical action for results. When I began my weight loss journey, I kept saying “tomorrow I will start this liver shrinking diet” and then by the time I checked back into this weight loss thing I fancied myself doing, it had been an entire month and I had only lost one pound that was probably urine and had no results to show for my “you can do anything you put your mind to”. Here I am in a new month again, still with nothing to show but this time I made moves. I bought the food I should have been eating instead of putting it off. I cut the fruit, I made the salad, I mixed the protein drink, I even taught my son how to mix the protein drink for himself.

A long story short… you CAN do anything you put your mind to with the right action plan. Sit down, make a plan, pick a day to start, and do it! Grab the bull by the horns! I promise you that you will feel so much better about yourself. It doesn’t have to be about weight loss it could be about getting a new job, a savings plan, anything… plan it out and do! Nike really knew what they were doing with the tag line ” Just Do It”.

”Spend eighty percent of your time focusing on the opportunities of tomorrow rather than the problems of yesterday.”
